The Genuine Dining Co. is redefining contract catering and over the last 13 years has been providing some of the best and most innovative solutions in the sector. FORA has 70 sites across London, and growing. The Genuine Dining Co. has partnered with Kanpla to support this growth.

Challenge

With all successful offers, where the food and drink is loved by the customer, it comes with growth, which in turn can develop operational challenges. Genuine Dining and FORA provide close to £95k of hospitality orders a month across 70 sites in London which opens up huge catering and logistical challenges.

These include:

  • Providing a seamless ordering experience for customers

  • The operations team managing and communicating changes

  • Packaging, labelling and delivering in Central London using bikes and vans

  • Organising the catering team to deliver the best culinary experience with different allergy preferences

  • Back office administration with invoicing and payments

Solution

Genuine Dining and Kanpla have collaborated closely to customise the Kanpla hospitality solution, enhancing the service to the Genuine Dining team and ensuring a seamless user experience for the hundreds of TOG clients requiring meeting catering all across London. By leveraging the latest technology, which includes site level flexibility and user-friendly web and app ordering experiences, as well as options for invoicing and credit card payments, Genuine Dining has managed to save 20 hours previously spent on organising orders and reconciling payments.

Looking ahead

With the technology and processes in place, there is huge potential for growth. Genuine Dining Co is already looking to implement the same offering in another one of their Central Production Units (CPUs) in London, where both internal and external clients will be able to benefit from new hospitality and food offerings, such as sushi platters. This provides a new revenue stream with minimal complexity for current operations. Much like high street restaurants have boosted their revenue through delivery platforms, Genuine Dining is leveraging Kanpla to achieve the same, without compromising their brand or adding heavy fees.
