With Kanpla, Meyers rolled out a solution that’s fully integrated with Novonesis’ employee card system. Employees tap their card, the right price applies automatically, and everything is captured in one unified platform.
On top, the Kanpla app gives guests a faster “skip-the-POS” option for lunch registration in the App combined with menu showcase, loyalty, and real-time crowd tracking.

When guests arrive in the restaurant, they can simply tap their Novonesis employee card or visitor card on the terminal. Kanpla recognizes the user category and applies the right price, consistently and instantly.
Employees can also go app-first: the Kanpla app is linked directly to their Novonesis employee account, so instead of queuing at the POS they can register lunch from their phone - with receipts saved automatically.
The app also works as a daily restaurant companion, showing the menu with CO₂ data, nutrition, and allergens, and even live crowd tracking so people can time their visit when it’s less busy.
It also opens up additional purchases beyond lunch (like takeaway and deli) and lets employees benefit from Meyers’ loyalty program across bakeries and selected partners. And because the same Kanpla data powers digital signage, menus and daily updates stay consistent everywhere—what’s on screens matches what’s in the app and what’s in the system, without maintaining content in multiple places. Kanpla is also integrated with their recipe system and has driven administration savings on +4 hours per week.
